Reply operation
From a new reply to a clear next action.
Synchronize conversations
Connected inboxes fetch newer threads and messages from their saved cursor on the scheduler cadence.
Find the right thread
Search by subject or contact email and filter by inbox, unread status, assignee, tag, folder, or open/closed state.
Read the timeline
Open a workspace-scoped thread to see its ordered message history and the inbox and contact behind it.
Assign one owner
Give the thread to one workspace member, reassign it when responsibility changes, or leave it unassigned.
Tag and classify
Add internal workflow tags and, where appropriate, record a reply disposition that can feed contact stage and reporting.
Reply in context
Send from the inbox that owns the conversation, with manual copy or an optional AI draft reviewed before sending.
Triage
One queue, several ways to focus it.
The inbox belongs to one workspace, keeping a client's conversations and team actions separate while still combining every connected sender inside that workspace.

Campaign safety
Every reply updates follow-up state.
Stop on reply
An inbound reply associated with an enrollment stops the remaining scheduled follow-up for that contact.
Suppression-aware disposition
Not-interested and do-not-contact outcomes can trigger suppression and block-list controls.
Auditable team actions
Assignment and tag changes create operating records so ownership changes are not hidden in a shared login.
Protect the conversation state. See how reply-based stopping prevents scheduled follow-up from overtaking a real response.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Which inboxes appear in the unified inbox?
Threads from connected inboxes in the active workspace are synchronized into that workspace's inbox. One workspace cannot browse another workspace's conversations.
Can I search and filter replies?
Yes. Search by subject or contact email and filter by inbox, unread status, assignee, tag, folder, and open or closed state.
Can several people own the same thread?
The current assignment model supports one active assignee per thread. A thread can be reassigned or left unassigned.
Which mailbox sends the reply?
The reply is sent through the inbox that owns the thread, preserving the conversation context and sender identity.
Can AI answer replies automatically?
MailSequence can generate optional reply suggestions and drafts using AI credits. A user reviews and sends the response; autonomous AI sending is not promised.
Does a reply stop the sequence?
Yes, when the inbound message is associated with the enrollment and thread. The enrollment is stopped with a replied reason and no next step remains due.
Turn every reply into owned work.
Connect business inboxes, give the team one reply queue, and keep campaign follow-up synchronized.
